Hi first off I'd like to say a big thank you to everybody how has sent me get well wishes (thanks jimmy :)) and happy birthday wishes to :) I'm a little better not up to full speed yet but things moving in right direction. I'm not playing yet but I think in the future it may happen, so all is not lost :)

When stuff like this happens in your life you really do find out who your friends are and what's important in life, I'm lucky I have some great friends and some of my family have been wonderful  .

So if I don't see you in person over the festive season may I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year

Right lets get this out in the open as I'm always being asked .... I have had a stroke. Yes at the age of 43 I have had a major stroke, this has left me very weak down my left side, I can't walk very well or far, and have only limited use of my left arm/hand. I cant go back yet to teaching and playing as , well I just cant play. The stroke happened in August last year I was in hospital for a few days short of 2 months... in a word the whole thing has been a nightmare. My time in hospital sucked, and the treatment I have received since and during has varied from good to" you must be fucking joking". I am improving but its painfully slow, like watching paint dry. I would like to say that all the emails and texts and calls I have received from you out the have been great.

so there you go, I am thinking of writing all about the ups and downs of what's happened to me in depth in case it may help anyone else out there in similar situations and if it would help you or someone close to you  feel free to contact me on the subject.

as some of you may know due to illness I have not been taking on new pupils or indeed working with anyone for a while. Thanks to everyone for all there kind words and support over the last few months and when I am up to teaching again I will let you all know :)

for the same reasons I will not be playing live with "no shame" until further notice see there website for details when and if there are any developments any gigs advertised by them for now I wont be playing .

Hi,
I got a phone call at like 9pm last night from the guy who runs the Eddie to say "could I do Him  a favor?" I go OK what's up?
then he goes on to tell me that he had managed to get the "uk Subs" to play at his place , but the only date they could do was the 9th may . So the favor he wanted was basically to tell us we didn't have a gig ! So there you have it , no gig on the 9th. You know he even said "I don't know if you know who The uk subs are" tosser.... anyway that's another gig off the list please feel free to contact the eddie with your comments
sorry to the faithful out there who I know were coming but this wasn't our doing

Thanks to Roy (and Chris) at The Station Hotel Ipswich for a great night. Thanks to the faithful that showed up it was fantastic to see you all , new venue and all. Hi to my pal Mark and his lady for making the trip see you in the week dude :). More gig to be announced soon in the Suffolk area watch this space , oh and before I forget you all rock :)

Right the plot thickens it now seems that the Milestone have changed hands again and the gig we have booked with them for the 18th April is off, but all is not lost Roy at the Station Hotel Ipswich has offered to have us there on that date (18.4.09) instead so now we are playing there on that night . Please try and make it we need all your support

I went to see Ace Frehley at the Astoria London Friday night (11.4.08) and I have to say Ace rocked ! It was so loud my ears were still ringing the next morning , but it was well worth it here's a pic I took on my mobile

A big thank you all all my pupils who turned up at the Twist in Colchester to see me open (with No Shame) for Michael Schenker on the 26th Jan . It was an honour and a privilege to be and the same bill as one of my hero's and to see his sound check etc.. And best of all he was a really nice guy .Thanks also to Simon and Ian from the twist and with any luck we will play our own head lining show there soon.

Hi first of all let me wish everybody a happy Christmas and a fab new year out there. As I have said before I've been having a jam with some old mates and yes this has resulted in us putting together a band .We are proud to announce that COLNEY HATCH will be playing Toni's field Part in July and there should be a website up and running soon! Also I'm thinking of putting a musicians wanted /seeking page on here for free as some of my students keep asking me if I know anybody they can form bands with /jam with etc.. email me if you think its a good idea, or if you want to be included....

Now as my may have seen I have been advertising in the local press for tuition, I still have some open slots day times and evening so feel free to call. It would also seem that my little jam with my old mates may result in a gig this year in July, so watch this space.

 On the rock n roll front there is a chance I will be having a play with so old band mates of mine sooner or later from the good old days. Tim Steward, Lo Grant, and Gary Stewart- McCray....Original material and maybe the odd cover ....watch this space :)
